Palo Santo

Palo Santo (Brusera Graveolens) is a very common native tree of coastal Ecuador, Colombia and Peru with small leaves and no visible flowers. Belongs to very dry ecosistems where very few things grow. Only grows in coastal areas of Ecuador & the Galapagos (endemic species) and has a very strong sap odor and very charanteristic. This sap or oil/essence which comes from barch of tree if you cut it or break a leave took the attention of our ancestors and was declared as a "Holy Tree". Ecuadorean Natives from 3000 BC(aprox.) used this tree as ritual and medicinal plant. The properties of this oil/essence are high. Has been studied and declared antitumoral and powerfully antiseptic and antifungus. Our essential Oil is taken only from NATURALLY DEAD TREES and then processed to get the pure essence preserving completly this way our tropcal dry forests (Tumbesian Ecosystem Ecuador-Northen Peru). Many products can be tried with this essence like: Soaps, Shampoos, Incenses, and oil concentrated. The Spa applications are fantastic and we invite you to try the Palo Santo oil on a massage. There are other species named Palo Santo in South America which are not the same.

FROM NATURALLY DEAD TREES TO LOGS

Our wood only comes from Naturally dead trees found in our close by Dry Tropical forest of the Manabi province (Puerto Lopez -Machalilla area) Logs are then turn into saw dust and then processed for its essential oil.

PROCESS TO ACQUIRE OUR ESSENTIAL OILS

Our process start by picking naturally dead only trees from our nearby dry tropical forest of the Puerto Lopez-Machalilla area in coastal Ecuador. The logs are cut and then process to become saw dust then put in an autoclave where we will get our essences. Its a very simple operation and all is done by a local factory operated completly by native families. The factory is completly socially conscious. We have limited amount we can produce and have our own plantations and replantations programs forming a complete ecological cycle totally sustainable.

PALO SANTO INCENSE CONES

The Saw dust of Palo Santo is also turned into incense cones in our ovens. Many other products are produced in our Factory as Shampoos and Soaps.
